The Library of Arabic Literature engages qualified academics as editor-translators of titles in the series. We generally require that editor-translators have a Ph.D. in the field of Arabic or Islamic studies, and previous experience translating pre-modern texts into English. Typically, the executive board invites would-be editor-translators to submit a questionnaire, detailing which original manuscripts and published editions they will rely on to produce a new Arabic edition, and on which they will then base their translation.

Please direct inquiries to the Editorial Director Chip Rossetti (chip.rossetti@nyu.edu) for further details.
