The Library of Arabic Literature seeks qualified academics as editor-translators of titles in the series.  We generally require that editor-translators have a Ph.D. in the field of Islamic studies or Arabic, and that they have previous experience translating pre-modern texts into English.  We do not assign titles, but ask would-be editor-translators to submit a questionnaire, outlining which title they would like to translate, and detailing which original manuscripts and published editions they will rely on to produce their own Arabic edition.

If you feel you qualify and are interested in translating for the series, please write an email, with your CV attached, to Editorial Director Chip Rossetti (chip.rossetti@nyu.edu) for further details.
